I'm easy to get on with, and I enjoy meeting people - of any age - and helping them to achieve their aims and fulfil their potential.
I've been teaching for over 30 years - at all levels and with students of all ages. I cover English (beginners, secondary, A-level, degree), Maths (up to KS3), as well as Study Skills (essay writing etc) for degree students, and preparation for independent schools' entrance exams. I also teach music - guitar, mandolin, and general Music Theory.
I plan sessions with a clear eye on the demands of whatever syllabus the student has to follow, and make sure the student understands the assessment criteria for the particular qualification (or other goal) that they want to achieve. But I also adapt flexibly to students' preferred learning style and pace, and this is especially true with private students. I enjoy teaching and I want my students to enjoy their learning too. I can back up our sessions with online materials and email support as appropriate.
I can also offer tuition online, via Zoom, as an alternative to face-to-face visits, or as a supplement to them.
