Michael's Feedback

My daughter has only had 2 sessions with Michael but so far we are very pleased with his input. Michael is quiet, well mannered and certainly knows his subject. He has a gentle, encouraging approach which my daughter is finding really helpful. We look forward to continuing to working with him. Thank you Michael.

Michael answered my request the day after I posted it and started tutoring my son the next day. He is a very polite man and arrived when he said he would. Only had one lesson so far but my son seemed happy enough and feels confident Michael will help him pass his exams in May.

My son already feels improved and more confident dealing with maths, the 1-1 focusing on specific areas is exactly what he needed.

I am trying to leave a review, but this seems to be the only way of doing so. On that basis, I offer the following:
"My daughter was having difficulty with some aspects of the Higher Maths course and Michael was asked to help very near the end of the course. Michael makes clear that he views his job as helping his student obtain an ‘A’ and I am very pleased to say that he did this very well and my daughter achieved this grade. I feel it is appropriate to point out that my daughter felt she was being taught how to pass the exam and she did not get the deeper understanding of the subject that she would have liked. Nevertheless, I do not feel that this should detract from the very great benefit that Michael brought. First, because he does make clear the service he is offering. Secondly, because he was very constrained in the amount of time he had.
I am pleased to recommend Michael."

Hi helped my son go from a fail in prelim to an A at Higher

Michael was a great help to my son, who has just sat national 5 maths. He was able to explain elements of maths that my son was struggling to understand. Here's hoping that Michaels hard work will be reflected in my sons results.

Unfortunately things did not work out as communication was difficult and also we had different resources.

Helped go from a C candidate to an A candidate, very helpful

Very happy with Michael. He has been punctual and gets down to business. I would recommend this Math tutor.

A bit disappointed that he didn't tell me till after I paid £20. That he doesn't drive and used busses as where we live you cant take a bus

My son has had Michael for a few weeks now and appears to be more confident in maths. Just sat an assessment and had full marks. So looking good so far. Michael has lots of patience and seems to get the point over in a very mild mannered way which makes my son at ease. Very happy.

I don't feel like I can communicate with him properly and he is very shy, and he has the old books for standard grades

Michael is a great teacher my daughter is getting on fantastic with him her maths has improved also she
has gained a lot of confidence I would highly recommend Michael.

We only had Michael once as my daughter's school offered an extra study support session which was suitable for her. However Michael arrived promptly and worked well with her for the time he was here.

Michael was only able to give a couple of lessons before he felt he had to stop due to travelling issues and some unfortunate personal circumstances.

The lessons had gone quite well and our daughter had said she had enjoyed them which was very encouraging. So we were very disappointed to lose him. We offered to provide transport with the travelling issues but it seems the other circumstances are too much of an issue.

Two lessons is not really enough to give a proper rating so have left it at a three but I'm sure it would be higher had we had longer. Hopefully we will find another tutor who is as good.

Professional in his approach

Michael has already built up my daughter's confidence in her ability in maths. He soon realises if she doesn't understand something and changes the approach. Michael has been very flexible with us and I would definitely recommend Michael to anyone looking for a professional maths tutor.

I would just like to say that Michael is a very nice man and Kieran is getting on great with him, he has so much patience for the younger generation.

Michael has been a great help to our daughter and we are confident that she will do well in her exam. He was very punctual,and very patient when tutoring. We will certainly use him again should the need arise and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a maths tutor.

Mike is a really good teacher . I come from France and he teach me english. He helps me for my english exams. I would recommanded him to anyone .

Michael established a really positive and productive relationship with our son. His teaching methods contributed to our son gaining more knowledge and confidence in tackling maths. He also provided our son with homework to carry out prior to his next visit which was really productive.
