I am a based on the Wirral on Merseyside. I have a degree in Mathematics and Psychology from University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. I am 35 years old and have spent time learning my trade in a variety of schools across the Wirral. I teach consistently at an outstanding level which has been supported by observations and reviews from senior staff.
I am a fully qualified Mathematics Teacher (10 years) and a Head of Year. I have worked in Grammar and Comprehensive schools and have taught GCSE and A-Level. I have worked with pupils across the whole spectrum and take a versatile approach to teaching to meet the needs of each individual.
Whilst tutoring I have come across a variety of different students all looking for something different from me. At GCSE level I have tutored pupils who are trying to achieve a 4/5 grade and pupils who aiming for the highest marks. I have also sucessfully helped a mature student pass a Maths test she required to go into Primary Teaching.
I believe my selling point is my knowledge of the requirements to meet individual target grades at GCSE. I enjoy teaching all levels and abilities. I like to think as I am fresh out of university I am able to relate the learning to the pupils and teach them methods and strategies to help them retain information and overcome challenges.
I am patient, persistent and most of all dedicated. I believe you learn the most when you are enjoying yourself and its that attitude and approach I bring to a learning environment.
