I am an English teacher and SEND specialist with 20 years' experience in London schools. I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent students and specialise in supporting young people with learning differences, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia (DCD) and mental/physical health challenges.
Having taught English for 20 years in London secondary schools and been a GCSE English examiner, I have extensive experience and expertise in my subject.
I have been Head of Exam Access Arrangements and can advise students and their families on reasonable adjustments and additional support in education.
I have been an English as an Additional Language (EAL) Coordinator and have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) qualification, so I am confident teaching students who have a first language other than English.
I enjoy enabling young people to overcome any barriers they face and to build confidence and ultimately enjoyment in their learning. My approach to tutoring is tailored to the needs of the individual student, depending on their goals, interests and learning style.
