We are immensely pleased with the science tutoring provided by our son's science tutor, Dr. Michelle .

Under her guidance, his academic progress has been nothing short of remarkable. From a grade 3 on his year-end report, he has soared to an impressive 8 on his mock exams for Chemistry GCSE. She also tutors him in Biology and Physics.

Her meticulous approach involves taking the time to thoroughly review the material, breaking down complex content into digestible sizes.

This tailored method has significantly enhanced our son's understanding of challenging topics, fostering a solid foundation in chemistry.

Her commitment to his success is evident, and we are grateful for the positive impact she has had on his academic journey.

Michelle has been supporting my son with Biology GCSE and he has already seen a really good improvement in his school test scores and teacher feedback after just a number of weeks with Michelle. My son is not generally receptive to asking for help but is really engaged in his lessons with Michelle and can see the progress he's making as a result. Would definitively recommend Michelle to others.

Dear Michelle thank you for your excellent tutoring and support for my daughter. You helped her achieve a grade B in A Level Biology and attain her first choice university in 2023.

Michelle has been tutoring our 16 year old son online for his Double Science GCSE this summer. He has selected Biology for A level, and needs level 7:7 grades - last summer he achieved a 5:5.We decided quite late on , just at the beginning of the Christmas holidays that Harry needs a tutor as he wasn’t doing any independent learning - Michelle offered several lessons a week over the holidays at short notice ( so a crash course!), and he achieved 8:8 in his mock GCSE in January!
Harry , although bright, does have challenges, and finds it incredibly hard to get started and focus on his schoolwork. He gets distracted and will find many reasons to avoid schoolwork!
Somehow Michelle has found the right approach to engage Harry , and for him to want to regularly attend her lessons, which in itself is a big achievement.
She is very encouraging ,supportive and extremely patient . Clearly Michelle’s teaching of Science is very successful, giving great results very quickly, and has renewed our son’s passion for Science and his confidence in his own ability.
Michelle is also working with Harry on resilience and managing workload and stress regarding exams. She is happy to support on any area, not just teaching the specific Science content. Michelle is also excellent with her communication to us, sharing her feedback on Harry’s progress.
We are very happy to recommend Michelle , and are so pleased she is tutoring our son.

Michelle has been helping my son with his GCSE sciences and he’s made real progress and it’s helped him with areas he finds difficult. Michelle is very organised and planned for the lesson and homework. My son asks for the lessons now in his holidays.

Michelle has been working with my 15-year-old son, who has sensory processing issues, and we couldn't be happier with how Michelle has engaged with Matthew, developed a strong rapport, and has been able to help with my son's anxieties connected to the school environment. There is a demonstrable improvement in my son's confidence at school, evidenced by comments by teachers on his report, and he even got 100% in his mock GCSE history exam!

Excellent service helping to completely turn around my A Level Biology grade.
Michelle assisted in creating an increased understanding in what I (once) considered to be a difficult subject. Michelle was quickly able to identify my weaker areas of study and helped me understand them in a way which was more suited to my way of learning. The general study tips and basic support were incredibly invaluable to me, and when I felt I was not being correctly supported by my teachers, I had no doubt that Michelle could come and resolve these issues. Michelle was very welcoming and immediately made my daughter feel comfortable. She found Michelle easy to approach and ask any questions on the topics they covered.
Michelle worked hard to ensure my daughter developed a thorough understanding of the subject, working out which areas to focus on and finding different ways to explain things. She would go out of her way to find suitable resources and related the topics to everyday life. Michelle would also find different questions relating to the topic and work through how to answer them, improving my daughter's exam techniques.
I would have no hesitation in recommending her.

Michelle made the lesson very informative, easy to follow and enjoyable. Her style of teaching was very thorough and gave me a much better understanding of the topic. She was very warm and I felt completely comfortable with her. As well as teaching me the topic she also taught me how to effectively approach revision and how to improve my exam technique. I can highly recommend Michelle as a tutor. We took a long time to find a suitable tutor as my son has autism and therefore requires not only a high level of subject knowledge but also the very specific skills of teaching a learner with many challenges. Michelle provides both of these with ease, she is patient and intelligent and clearly values my son's love of science which in turn has given him confidence as well as furthering his knowledge. Michelle is very good at identifying areas which need to be worked on and will gently steer learning towards these whist incorporating and enjoying my son's specific - and sometimes bizarre - interests. Even though he is only 10, my son feels his scientific knowledge is taken very seriously and he is not hindered by any of his previous bad associations with teacher-pupil relationships. I would highly recommend Michelle for any learning ability but particularly for those with a high functioning pupil looking for one to one mentoring.
