My name is Michelle. I am a qualified Maths teacher, I am very passionate about making an impact in all my students education.My aim is for students to have fun learning maths. In my non teaching hours I enjoy cooking, listening to music and walking by the beach.
I am apart of a youth club that does voluntary services for children and elderly that are in need.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught maths at the primary level and year 7- 11 at secondary level. I have over 7 years experience in this capacity as a certified maths teacher. I have been doing private tutoring since i was enrolled in University.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching and tutoring approaches varies on each learner needs and learning style. My aim as a tutor is to create a student friendly environment built on mutual respect where students are able to communicate freely without the fear of being judged.

I want students to have a deep understanding of content knowledge and confidence when answering questions so I often encourage and reassure them in the process.

My teaching philosophy is 'Teach the way that students learn' with this approach students are more enthuse and engaged in their learning.

I normally start with topics that students are comfortable with and move to more complex areas as their confidence grows. In order to assess students' progress, I give exam style questions or past paper questions. I give feedback after every session.
