Online Biology Lessons
I love biology and I love teaching! I enjoy finding ways to make challenging content easier to understand. I have a specific interest in the how students learn to learn, so work hard to not only teach Biology to my students, but also help them to develop more independent study skills which will allow them to increase their confidence and achieve their ambitions.
Tutoring Experience
I have taught for 9 years. I have taught all 3 sciences, but my passion is Biology. I am currently second in department at a large and successful independent school in the Midlands. I have taught ages 11-18 However, more recently, I mainly teach GCSE and A-Level classes.
Tutoring Approach
- Assess to identify areas for improvement And identify misconceptions. 2. Target these areas using various techniques until the students understanding is there. 3. Apply their new understanding to past questions to build confidence, repeat to become fluent in the content and recognise the specific trends in the exam boards mark schemes. Communication between tutor and student is key throughout.
