I recently completed my Master’s degree in Chemistry at UCL, where my thesis focused on novel OrganoBoron chemistry. This September, I will be starting a PhD in Chemistry. With over 5 years of tutoring experience, I’m passionate about helping students understand chemistry and enjoy learning it. I aim to make complex concepts clear, engaging, and approachable—whether you’re preparing for exams or just looking to boost your confidence in the subject.
I believe that science has answers to most questions one may have at a young age including ‘why and how’. My personal strategies include tying somewhat strange scientific concepts like ‘the second law of thermodynamics’ to real life examples to help students breakdown the overwhelming idea of laws governing the universe into information that is easy to engulf and remember.
I aim to help students gain confidence and build a work ethic that would help them through their current and further studies, by using techniques like active recall and student- led discussion. I help students get more comfortable and familiar with material by challenging their understanding, rather than simply doing work for them.
I strive to make learning science an enjoyable experience, that would primarily teach students how to love and understand science, rather than simply memorise the book and pass the test.
Please note during term-time I am based in Central London, and would potentially be open to face2face teaching.
