Having achieved two A*s in A level French and Spanish and a D2 in Pre-U History, I am currently an undergraduate going into my second year of study reading French and Spanish at the University of Oxford.
My teaching experience consists of helping students at my former school with applications to Oxford (from interviews to MLAT and interview preparation), helping Year 11 students in preparation for their oral and written papers as an MFL prefect and finally running a reading group for prospective Oxbridge applicants in my first year for the outreach initiative OxNet.
Having only recently left school I have a great appreciation for how important it is to tailor a teaching approach to a specific exam syllabus, particularly in languages. I like to work closely to syllabuses using exam board materials such as past papers, specimen papers and examiners reports to ensure that a student is aware of both the content they will be required to produce, and the best way that they can produce it. I fully appreciate the stress and anxiety that students undergo from GCSE through to A-level and beyond. It is therefore with a friendly and understanding approach that I hope to help any of my students succeed and reach their potential.
