Both my daughter and I warmed to Miranda straight away. She put my daughter at ease within minutes of meeting her, and she started learning straight away due to Miranda's relaxed, yet focused & motivational teaching style. Miranda kept a check on my daughters progress & focused the lessons specifically on the areas where extra tuition was required. My daughter looked forward to her lessons, and actually enjoyed maths for the first time ever! I absolutely recommend her tutoring service, she is brilliant, and has some great tips and advice for remembering how to work certain things out. Thank you so much Miranda. Keep up the great work.

Well, what can I say?
I had slight trepidation getting a tutor for my daughter but with her falling behind the rest of the class in maths and the school teacher not seeming to care, I decided to take matters into my own hands and trial this approach. I found Miranda and from the outset my mind was put at rest.
After my daughters first session, she came down stairs afterwards almost skipping with joy.
Miranda makes my daughter laugh and smile, pays attention to the weaknesses and comes up with a plan to fix.
She has great flexibility and communication and my daughter is finally understanding maths. It’s seriously making me question why I pay for the school that my daughter goes to!

She's really worked hard building a great relationship with our son, and adapted learning styles to suit his needs.

Miranda hasn't responded to our last email.

We were not made aware of her payment methods (4 - 6 weeks in advance) until after we had paid for her contact details.

We have other tutors with this site, and we are very happy with them. We pay them weekly on a regular basis.

Hi, I think that there has been some misunderstanding regarding my payment policy prior to you commencing any sessions. As such, your review is solely based on this factor alone, rather than quality of tutoring. For clarification, I am more than happy for payments to be weekly. I was just making you aware of further reductions that you could make by block booking. I do recommend that initial sessions are paid weekly whilst settling in and getting to know each other. Miranda makes the session fun and engaging whilst offering the right amount of encouragement to keep him motivated to learn. Miranda is a lovely lady who is very welcoming and supportive. My son absolutely loves her as she has an easy going and light hearted manner meaning that he learns slot without feeling like it is too much like hard work. He has never left a lesson sad or upset or feeling like he doesn't understand things, which has happened with past tutors. She is very knowledgeable and explains things in an easily accessible way so that you get a broad depth of knowledge without it being over complicated.
I would highly recommend Miranda as both my son and I think she is great

Miranda has been really amazing with my 9 year old son. She has taken time to get to know him, understand his learning style and how best to support him.
I found Miranda on First Tutors because my son was behind in most areas at school and lacked in confidence. I didn't feel he was being supported in school to meet his full potential as he is very self conscious and too embarrassed to say when he doesn't understand.
I feel that since he has been seeing Miranda he has made improvement already in English and in Maths. His teacher has also commented on his confidence. My son also enjoys his time with Miranda as she tries to plan lessons that are interesting. He is always asking if he can go to her full time.
Couldn't recommend highly enough and thank you for everything so far.
