Hi, I’m a passionate maths and physics educator with over eight years of tutoring experience and six years teaching in the classroom. I’m currently Head of GCSE Maths and Deputy Head of Faculty at one of the largest schools in Cambridgeshire, where I lead on curriculum, teaching strategies, and student outcomes. I’m also a Senior Examiner for Edexcel, which gives me a really strong understanding of how to help students succeed in exams and what examiners are looking for.

Tutoring is something I genuinely enjoy because it allows me to tailor my teaching to each individual. I believe that every student learns differently, and part of my job is figuring out what works best for them—whether that’s breaking things down step-by-step, tackling tricky exam questions together, or just building up their confidence. My sessions are structured but flexible, focused on progress without feeling overwhelming. I’ve worked with students from KS3 all the way up to A-Level, and I take pride in making maths and physics not just understandable, but enjoyable too.

With expertise in both maths and physics, I help learners make meaningful connections between topics—particularly in areas like mechanics, algebra, and data analysis. My approach is always personalised, using targeted strategies and digital tools to ensure clear progress and sustained engagement.

My tutoring approach is highly student-centred and outcomes-driven. I begin by identifying each learner’s strengths, gaps, and preferred learning styles, then tailor sessions accordingly. Whether the goal is to build foundational confidence or push towards top grades, I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, using real-world examples, visual aids, and targeted questioning to develop understanding. I place strong emphasis on exam technique, active recall, and problem-solving, ensuring students not only grasp the material but are able to apply it effectively under pressure. I also make use of past papers, spaced repetition, and progress tracking to build consistency and long-term retention.
