I am a dedicated Jamaican/UK teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education, and I bring over 10 years of extensive teaching experience to the table. My teaching journey has taken me across different educational landscapes, both in Jamaica and the UK, where I've had the privilege of working with students aged 12 to 19.

My Teaching Philosophy:

Mathematics is not just about numbers; it’s about understanding the concepts that govern the world around us. I strive to make learning maths a conceptual and enjoyable experience for my students. Whether it’s through creative problem-solving or exploring abstract concepts, I ensure that each lesson challenges my students in ways that stimulate their mathematical skills and curiosity.

My Approach:

Before diving into new material, I always take the time to assess my students' prior knowledge and identify any misconceptions they may have. This foundational step allows me to tailor my lessons to their specific needs, ensuring that each student is on solid ground before moving forward. This approach not only promotes a deeper understanding of the subject but also builds the confidence needed to tackle more complex ideas.

I believe in fostering a classroom environment where questions are encouraged, and students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and uncertainties. This open dialogue is crucial for deepening their understanding of mathematical concepts and helping them overcome any challenges they may face.
