My name is Zayan and I am currently taking a gap year after finishing my A-Levels before pursing a degree in Computer Science. With recent achievements of A*AAA at A-Level and 13A*- A grades at GCSE including a Distinction in Additional Mathematics, I have clear understanding and knowledge in helping students achieve their desired grades.

I am extremely passionate about teaching as I find it extremely enjoyable and a rewarding experience and this is evident by working as a Teaching Assistant in primary schools across Cardiff where I have helped many students overcome boundaries and excel in subjects.

As a driven and determined individual, I believe students like myself make great teachers and have positive impacts on others lives who need extra support with their studies or even to ensure they are up to date with all chosen topics. Also, by having a modern outlook to studying, I can ensure success with all chosen topics.

• Educated many groups of students on Mathematics topics, with an easy and enjoyable approach.
• Adapted to students using strategies, showcasing flexibility to create an inclusive and effective educational experience.
• Taught 1:1 to a student with special needs by strengthening punctuation and communication to address learning requirements, with results in advancements in academic performance, emotional regulation and overall well-being.
• Implemented effective organisational and time-management skills to arrange classrooms, ensuring a clean environment.
• Administered students school work by operating the printer and other generic work including trimming, tidying and supporting.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is personalised to each student in what will produce the most successful results through the students examinations. Possessing in depth-knowledge with each subject specification I will be teaching the students solely based on the required knowledge and making sure I provide the most support needed.

Firstly, I will be teaching the student the content and explaining each part to the best ability, making it simple and enjoyable at the same time. After teaching the content the most important part is the application of knowledge and so with my resources I will provide topic and past paper questions so they have a true practice for the real examination.

I will also use a retrospective revision timetable in which they will rank each part of the specification by means of a colour system:

Green = Easy
Yellow = Medium
Red = Hard

This will allow me and the student to know what specific topics need working on to perfect this.
