My name is Muhammed and I am Head of Mathematics at a Good school (Ofsted rated) in Lancashire. I have studied Mathematics to degree level at the University of Manchester. I am DBS checked and am able to work with SEND children. I have a proven record for getting the best out of the children I teach.
I completed my PGCE at the University of Leeds. Since then I have taught in a secondary school based in Blackburn. I have been teaching for close to ten years now and have lots of experience working with KS3, KS4 and KS5 pupils. I am comfortable teaching KS3, GCSE, GCSE resit and A Levels. Most recently I helped a second year Business student at Salford University get a first in one of his modules.
With the changes to the curriculum for KS2, KS4 and KS5 I believe it is really important for the pupils to understand their maths before they start to apply it. One way I help my tutees and students is by helping them draw flow charts showing how each topic/area of maths is connected. This especially helps students wanting to go onto Maths A Level in college.
There is also a big focus on exam practice for students in key years.
