Hello there, I am Shuaib Removed, thank you for considering me as your personal Psychology A-Level Tutor. I am an approachable and well spoken individual who has an eager passion and drive for teaching. I am a qualified Psychology Teacher and have been in the education sector for 5 years and am proud to say I have a good reputation with my employers and students alike.
I am currently the Head of Department in a reputable and esteemed private school, but have also been Head of Psychology BTEC, an A-Level Psychology teacher and an EPQ teacher in previous schools/colleges.
I graduated from London Metropolitan University in 2019 with a BsC in Psychology. I then started my own car trading business which I ran for 2 years, before pursuing a career in teaching.
Including my PGCE placements, I have taught in 4 different academic institutions. Of those 4, I have been employed in 2.
Firstly, I was hired as a Psychology teacher in a well respected college and taught A-Level Psychology and was asked with overlooking and to take charge of the BTEC Psychology course. Stating my career in 2019 meant I was pressured due to the Covid-19 pandemic and therefore had to adapt to a new style of teaching, with very little prior experience. This taught me many valuable skills and not only made me a more resilient teacher, but also made me more empathetic towards individual student needs.
After 4 years, I left the college and was incredibly grateful to get a job in a very well esteemed private school as the Head of Psychology. Being quite a young teacher, getting a position such as a department lead has pushed me to work even harder and to push my students in order to allow them to get the best grades possible. I am proud to say that where ever I have worked, I have a consistent track record in improving grades substantially, boosting student confidence and helping young individuals get prepared for university and/or the future after school.
My tuition is carried out on a 1:1 basis on Skype (or other preferred video calling software). I can however also offer class tuition for your friends/family, which is offered at a discounted rate. (please get in touch if you are interested in this). I have a friendly teaching approach which is relaxed but very effective. I have made resources for all the topics in Psychology and have ensured they cater towards 16-19 year old sixth form students. As my tutee, you will have access to all my resources, including lesson PowerPoints, mock papers, model answers, brain storms, flash cards and more.
My teaching involves breaking down topics, providing examples to help with contextualising information and most importantly, lots of exam skills and exam practice. All my lessons and tutoring involve exam skills and exam practice as this is of course the key to getting the best grade possible. I have a great sense of humour and like to incorporate my personality into my style of teaching, which, so far, I have found to be effective and beneficial.
Not only will I teach you the key and core topics within the Psychology specifications, I will also teach you effective ways on how to revise and how to make the most of your revising. The techniques I teach have consistently been shown to be effective, and are all based on scientific research and established techniques.
