I am an experienced teacher for over 35 years in Primary Schools and in training teachers in Primary Education. I have also, lectured at degree level. I am well qualified with a keen interest in keeping up my professional development. I have also, developed degrees and managed them including online ones. I have a passion for teaching.

Sept 2014 -Link Tutor St Mary’s University. I have tutored many students including Undergraduates, from Year One to Undergraduate Year Three, PGCE and Work-based Learning students.
June 2011 To date -Associate Lecturer and Link Tutor- Winchester University – work included, visiting schools and mentoring students.
Jan 2001 to date - Ongoing occasional days in Schools and Early Years Settings for Surrey e.g. in Greville Primary School (Eteach and Headline).

April 2013 Paper delivered to UALL National Conference at Birkbeck, the University of London, “How Attempting to Reinvent the Wheel in Different Contexts may Lead to a Greater Understanding of the Connections between Theory and Practice”. Research based around teaching practice.
June 2011 Paper delivered on Instructional Design prepared for Work- based Learning and Employer Engagement Conference, UALL. This paper was published in the Journal of Higher Education, Skills and Work- based Learning entitled “Creating and Evaluating a Work- based an Online Instructional Model” (2013).
2007 Article in Nursery World on Distance Education with Early Years Education Students.
2005 I reviewed the work regarding the Early Years such as that of Tina Bruce.
I like to put the learner's learning needs first. I generally have an empathy for learners. I like to work out their next steps and help them to attain them. I also, like to make them feel more confident. My learners have always found me a supportive teacher.
