Dedicated and passionate secondary school teacher and leader, with a strong record of working with children in various settings. A self-motivated and hard-working individual who enjoys working in equally challenging and rewarding roles. My skills, knowledge and expertise gained supporting children in and out of educational settings lead me to be effective in inspiring the progression of students both academically. My experience working with children and young adults in various settings leads me to an effective communicator and teacher with students one to one and in group settings.

Tutoring Experience

I have been working in educational settings for 10 years. This has included one to one tuition, small group tuition and teaching class sizes of up to 30.

I am experienced in teaching students in mainstream education as well as those attending special educational needs provisions and alternate education. I have vast experience teaching GSCE/A-level Citizenship, Sociology & Psychology.
I also have experience teaching diverse groups new to the English language.

Tutoring Approach

I used a range of teaching approaches in the classroom and when tutoring to give a personalised learning experience. The foundation of my teaching approach is built upon good rapport and trust with students. I endeavour for every student
For students who are new to a topic or subject their may be more of teacher led instruction. However throughout the scheme of learning i incorporate inquiry learning and the flipped classroom model.
