Hi, I'm Natalie! I just graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Bachelor's in History and Russian. I have since decided to acquire more experience tutoring English as a Foreign Language, as well as Russian and Religious Studies.
Tutoring has so far been a rewarding experience, and I would love to gain more experience.
I have helped some Russian children learn English on my year abroad (from October 2021-February 2022) which was great in solidifying the enjoyment I find in imparting my knowledge onto language learners and being of help along the way.
For English lessons, my approach is to have a conversation and gauge a tutee's goals and how I can help them. The lessons would typically involve asking questions and discussing their interests. I will then provide feedback during the session and written notes afterwards.
As for Russian at GCSE and A-Level, I can help students to understand concepts that they struggle with. We can review a student's comprehension of the tasks, vocabulary, and grammar.
As for Religious Studies at A-Level, I can help by answering any questions about the content in the subject, help with exam technique, essay planning. I can also help students to expand on their base knowledge of the course. I have kept the material and essay titles from when I studied OCR Religious Studies. This material can be referred to when we look at individual topics.
