Within the last few years, I have gained knowledge and experience while completing my degree in Psychology, especially within the field of neuroscience (as that was my specialisation). I also have in-person and online experience tutoring and teaching as I have been an English teacher for the last 4 years! I find that viewing psychology as a holistic and dynamic subject is crucial, viewing the same concepts from many different perspectives. Baring this in mind, my lessons will help you gain a deeper understanding about psychology, helping you to go further than the superficial facts.
I was teaching English in Hanoi (Vietnam) during 2018 and 2019. Since then, I have been working as an English and Psychology tutor online, teaching a variety of ages, nationalities and levels. I feel this dynamic helped me develop my skills as a teacher, in particular being able to tailor my lessons to what the student needs, and finding the most interesting way to achieve their goals.
As previously mentioned, I like to take a dynamic approach to tutoring psychology, as I believe that one school of thought does not suffice in giving you a 'true' understanding of the topic. I use a variety of techniques during my lessons, but these depends completely on the students level and goals. I also believe it's important to have an open dialogue with students, in order to make sure that our current approach is the best one to use.
