I am passionate about all aspects of biology and I am eager to share this enthusiasm for the subject with GCSE and A-level students online. I have bachelor's degrees in Bioveterinary Science and Veterinary Medical Sciences, and am currently a final year veterinary student; therefore I am versed in all areas of biology. I am an approachable individual and keen to help wherever I can.
As part of my veterinary medicine course, I have assisted peers to understand a variety of difficult concepts, which sparked my interest in pursuing a rewarding role as an online tutor. As of December 2021, I have given weekly one-to-one tuition to an A-level student online via Zoom, where I have helped her to gain confidence with various hard topics and exam technique.
I appreciate that everyone learns differently and so I like to take a personalised approach, catering to my students' individual needs. If a pupil is struggling to understand a topic, I will try a variety of explanations until I find one that suits that individual. I endeavour to ensure my students have understood what has been taught by setting GCSE and A-level exam style questions, as well as by getting them to teach me what they have learnt from the hour long lesson.
Ultimately, I aim to provide an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building up their confidence and hopefully make learning fun for them.
