Maths and English Lessons in Lewisham

I’m Natasha, the founder of Removed, with 7 years of tutoring experience helping students excel in A-Level, GCSE, SATs, and 11+. I love combining my expertise with a bit of humour to make learning enjoyable and engaging.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 7 years of experience in tutoring and academic coaching, working with students of various ages and academic levels, from KS2 to A-Levels. My passion for teaching lies in providing tailored support that addresses each student’s unique learning style and goals.

Throughout my career, I’ve helped students excel in subjects like Maths, English, and Science, as well as prepare for crucial exams such as GCSEs and A-Levels. My approach combines structured learning plans, interactive teaching methods, and a focus on building both subject mastery and self-confidence.

By fostering a positive, engaging learning environment, I’ve guided numerous students to achieve higher grades and reach their full potential, transforming their academic challenges into successes.

With over seven years of teaching and mentoring experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting students across various educational programs and environments. As a mentor for Debate Mate, I’ve guided students in developing their confidence, critical thinking, and public speaking skills through debate. I also served as a leader on the National Citizen Service (NCS) program, where I led social action projects and team-building activities, and worked as an inclusion mentor, helping a non-English-speaking child interpret and understand the program. Additionally, I’ve travelled to Madrid to teach English to Spanish young people, helping them build language skills in a new and engaging setting.

For the past seven years, I’ve also been a tutor at Explore Learning, a leading tuition centre that provides personalised support in Maths and English for children of all abilities. This diverse experience has given me the ability to tailor my teaching approach to each student’s unique needs, ensuring they receive the individualised support needed to succeed both academically and personally.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is supportive, engaging, and results-driven, with a strong focus on meeting each student’s individual needs. I understand the struggles that can arise when a student feels lost in a lesson—having experienced it myself, I know how frustrating it can be to not grasp the material and consequently hating the subject and school in general due to this. This personal experience fuels my passion for helping students who may feel overwhelmed or confused. I strive to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling difficult topics. Whether your child needs help mastering a tough subject, preparing for exams, or boosting their confidence in the classroom, I provide tailored guidance and resources that empower them to succeed. By working closely with each student to understand their learning style and goals, I develop personalised strategies that enhance their strengths and address their challenges. My aim is not just to improve academic performance but to instil a deeper understanding and love for learning, helping as many young people as possible build the confidence and skills they need to achieve long-term success.
