Qualified Maths Teacher. After graduating in BSc Mathematics from Queen Mary University of London I went onto complete my teaching qualification and have since been teaching in mainstream secondary schools in London. CRB checked
I can provide tuition in London including the following areas - Ilford, Redbridge, Forest Gate, East Ham, Manor Park, Newham, Enfield, Chingford, Woodford and surrounding areas. I'm currently offering regular tuition through term time and holidays and I also offer intensive tuition if you are preparing for an exam or want to do some quicker catch up work.
As my profession I am experienced in teaching secondary maths in schools for the past 12 years. I am currently training students towards the new 9-1 specification. I have also worked as a one to one mentor with GCSE students. I teach students across the key stages and have helped borderline students pass their exams as well as stretch students to achieve the best possible grade they can.
To avoid any disappointment I would like to arrange for payment to be received prior to session via bank transfer. I will also need parking arrangements in addition to fees as I will be driving to location.
I prepare students for their GCSE's throughout KS3 to KS4 effectively and vary my teaching to the individuals specific needs. I am very patient with my students and allow good time for students to work at their pace. I break down large chunks of seemingly difficult to understand topics into simple, step by step methods that students can easily remember .
By using their historic data and assessing the students current level I can tailor a plan accordingly to help the student work towards their target grade. Valuable time spent consolidating mathematics on a one to one level through tutoring will allow me to stretch their limits and unlock their potential to achieve the best in their capacity.
I use a variety of resources to help students access maths including a thorough break down of past papers, mental math challenges, spot the mistake activities etc so the students can familiarise themselves with their end goal and be in a better position to tackle them with confidence.
