Tutoring Experience

I am a former Head Teacher and have taught Maths very successfully in Secondary schools. In addition, I have had considerable experience in marking and setting examination papers. I have also been involved in training teachers and have presented a number of papers at national conferences.

Tutoring Approach

Learning is a two-way process and requires the active participation of the student. Besides explaining concepts carefully, I will set homework and mark it. This will be followed up by discussion of the problems concerned, together with hints and suggestions.
I am a committed and conscientious person. I understand students' difficulties and what action is required to remedy their problems. It is my aim to motivate and inspire students and encourage them to understand and enjoy Maths. As things fall into place and make sense, so students do better and better, and really achieve well.
I am prepared to work according to each student's wishes and requirements or to set up a scheme of work.
Teaching hours: 7 am to 10 pm, Monday to Saturday.
