Are you looking for a tutor to help your child to read? Perhaps your child lacks confidence in maths and needs a different approach? I believe learning should be fun and matched skilfully to the individual. That is the wonderful benefit of private tutoring. I pride myself on getting to know the children and young people I work with to ensure they make excellent progress and grow in confidence. I find out what their strengths are and any gaps they have in their knowledge and tailor our tutoring sessions, so they get the most out of them. This suits those that are in mainstream education and those that are not (for whatever reason) and are looking for something more aligned with their child’s specific needs.
I am a qualified primary teacher. I taught for ten years across all year groups from reception to Y6. I have also tutored students up to Y9. For the past two years, I have been tutoring students in their homes and running phonics, reading, writing and maths interventions in schools. These individual and small groups sessions are bespoke to the children and ensure they make accelerated progress. This can be enabling them to learn something before their peers, so they feel more confident at school, or looking at gaps and addressing misconceptions.
If you would like to book an initial chat, to discuss your child and see if I can help, then please feel free to contact me.
