Qualified Maths Teacher with a PGCE and a BSC from Manchester University. With over a decade of tutoring experience, I consistently help students achieve their required grades in Maths.

I enjoy working one to one with students, personalising teaching plans to suit their learning style. To make the most out of sessions I identify areas of maths students will benefit from focusing on and ensure we are learning at the right pace for the student. I also provide additional questions for students to practice the following days to solidify their learning and improve retention of the skills gained.

Tutoring Experience

I have a unique background, having tutored Maths since 2010. I have also worked in a number of secondary schools around Greater Manchester, delivering KS3 and KS4 Maths lessons. I have additionally used my maths and science skills to work in private industry and researching healthcare in the NHS.

Tutoring Approach

I have consistently helped the vast majority of students meet their target grades through incorporating strategies to optimise study habits and minimise stress into lesson plans when tutoring, teaching students how to use their study time efficiently and methods to improve their ability to recall how to solve problems. These learning strategies can be utilised for all subjects, ensuring sustainable success by setting students up with ability to learn efficiently, crucial for the dynamic job market they will enter in the future.

My experience has provided me the skills to tailor session to the individuals personality and learning style. I have experience teaching students with special education needs and enjoy helping them thrive through understanding the way they learn as an individual.
