Hello. My name is Nick and I hold a BA (Hons) from Cambridge University where I specialised in Politics and Sociology and a Masters (MSc) from the London School of Economics (International Migration and Public Policy). I have over eight years of experience working in the humanitarian sector and two and half year of work experience in the Consultancy Sector.
Over the years, I have coached students in A-Level Politics, Cambridge and Oxford Application process and essay writing skills at University Level.
I am a self-declared politics geek and through my interactive style, experience and knowledge I can help students regain focus, enjoy their subject and helping them achieve the results they desire.
I have been teaching and tutoring part time for the last 10 years.
2011 - Tutor and Lecturer in International Relations for a summer camp at Hong Kong University.
2012 - Tutor for a summer camp in Hong Kong
2012-2013: Tutor for various schools in Japan
2013: Tutor for BlueTutors in Government and Politics
2015-2019: Mentor at Oxbridge Applications
2018-2019: Tutor in A-Level Politics and History
I am very flexible in my approach and it is important that the requirements of my client are stated upfront so I can ensure they receive value for money.
As part of my job, I remain up to date with what is happening across politics around the world and like to engage students in debate to ensure they are constantly challenged and the examples they use in essays are relevant.
I am myself a self-declared politics geek, so can really help inspire and push those I tutor. My greatest success is enabling a student who was predicted a C at A level to successfully achieve an A* in just two months.
I provide a personalised strategy, and can quickly identify your strengths and weaknesses to ensure you get the most out of the sessions.
