Hello there! I'm a lecturer, researcher, and mentor in psychology living with my husband and son in the border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. My neurodiversity-friendly webchat tutoring style is designed for students who want a learning experience tailored to their unique needs.
What makes me stand out as a tutor?
Psychologists understand that everyone has a unique learning style. For many, a traditional one-hour face-to-face session each week isn't productive or enjoyable—especially for those with neurodiverse needs such as ADHD, anxiety, or autism.
This is where my tutoring style shines:
✔️Flexible Payment - Pay for the week, with webchat open 24/7.
✔️Synchronous/Asynchronous Communication - Ask questions at any time, have answers and live chats during work hours (scheduling available).
✔️Group Webchats - Connect and learn with others in a supportive environment.
✔️Diverse Learning Materials - Access pre-recorded lectures and resources designed for various learning styles.
✔️Weekly Check-ins - Ensure you’re on track to reach your goals.
✔️Personalized Feedback - Enjoy tailored essay/project marking and feedback for just £25 extra per piece, ensuring you receive the focus and grade you deserve.
With everything written down, make progress at your own pace. No more oppressive schedules or frantic note-taking. Just learning in a way that works for you.
Note: No more than 10 spaces will be available each week to ensure maximum engagement (first come first serve basis).
I routinely lecture and grade psychology undergraduates at university, with a particular focus on childhood development. I am a trained mentor and have helped young people and adults learn psychology (and more importantly learn what they want to do with psychology). I have two years of counselling experience and have a keen appreciation for the wider support tutoring can bring.
Most importantly, I draw from my own lived experience with neurodiversity and education, which enables me to empathize with and support the individuals I tutor.
If I can do it, you can too!
The old-fashioned one-hour-a-week tutoring model doesn’t work for me, and if you’re reading this, it likely doesn’t work for you either.
My tutoring style caters to those who may only be able to focus for 15 minutes at a time, struggle to take notes while listening, have a panic attack at the thought of a face-to-face session, or find it difficult to think while making eye contact.
Do any of these resonate with you? If so, my tutoring style is designed with you in mind.
If you have any questions about my approach, qualifications, or pricing, please don't hesitate to reach out.
