I have worked in communications for over 20 years, as a journalist for The Guardian, a communications manager for charities and a freelance editor.
I have an MA in Creative and Life Writing from Goldsmiths and a diploma from the London School of Journalism.
I am 53, live in London and fostered two children, one of whom is now at university.
I have been a writer and communicator throughout my career. As well as being a journalist for The Guardian, I have had communications roles for not for profit organisations.
I also own an online business, have promoted it on television and radio and won a business start-up award.
I offer conversation classes on topics such as politics, business, culture, sport, travel - I am happy to cover subjects that interest you. I speak Queen's English, so can help with your accent and pronunciation.
As a professional writer and editor, I can also help with your written English, correcting grammar, spelling and use of language.
My approach is friendly, relaxed and interactive.
