Nicola is really excellent tutor , she is working her teaching ,setting up homework, and checking homework before every lesson. She always keeps updating about my son English learning process. That is really helpful to know what he is doing on the lesson. She is also helping my son school assessment . highly recommend ！

Nicola is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her teaching. My daughter had missed all her English literature lessons (GCSE) due to prolonged illness, and Nicola has picked up right at the end. She is absolutely all over it! She’s focussed my daughter and encouraged her. Although she hadn’t done Blood Brother’s before, she swiftly studied it, did notes, and prep for the lessons! Her commitment is fantastic. She communicates brilliantly with me too, to let me know how things are going. Homework is set and evaluated. It’s a shame my daughter couldn’t have had lessons from Nicola longer, I’m sure her grade would be excellent! I absolutely recommend Nicola as a tutor.

Nicola is an excellent tutor,very professional and always available to help and answer any questions about homework,etc. My son wasn’t performing too well in English and within 3 months he started to progress rapidly thanks to Nicola. When discussing the results of the last assessment in class the teacher said that my son’s work was one of the best ones she has ever seen. From the first meeting we can tell Nicola is exactly the kind of teacher we have been looking for. Nicky is a highly effective English Tutor. She is organised and efficient with her tuition and also in her preparation work before the lesson. We are really lucky to have met Nicola through First Tutors. She is exceptional. Even though its only 4 weeks that my son (Year 9) has started with her, we can already see his confidence level going up.

More than that, it is the method of teaching by Nicola that is making huge difference. She is very well prepared before every lesson and quite meticulous. The tools used by her for teaching and the materials are outstanding. She sets the HW well in advance for him and marks them before the next lesson. Nicola has taught English literature to my daughter (who is in year 9). Her improvement is appreciable in writing and spellings. Nicola regularly challenges her and gives reasonable homework and duly checks it as well.

Nicola has really engaged well with my son, who has never been a huge fan of English at school. My daughter has never been a fan of English. She is doing so much better in English at school now - a result of Nicola's tutoring. Recent mocks have seen a vast improvement, so we are keeping our fingers crossed for GCSEs. Nicola's style is focussed and entirely up to date with curriculums and GCSE changes. It's hard work for a non fan of English, but Nicola's patience and discipline are certainly paying off.

NIcola is very organized and has high expectations. I have been very impressed with Nicola. Her lessons are excellent. She sets weekly homework which is carefully marked and monitored. I have a very anxious child who struggles with English and has already failed his GCSE. My son is also dyslexic. Nicola has proved to be kind, considerate and approachable. Nicola is tutoring our daughter for her GCSE English which she is taking in year 12 as we were overseas in year 11 and so she took no GCSEs. She is not receiving lessons at school and so the tutoring is the only teaching she is receiving in the subject. Nicola's lessons appear to us to be well structured, varied and rigorous. Our daughter is a scientist by nature but is enjoying the lessons and we feel confident that she will be well prepared by the time she comes to sit the exam. We are very happy with our choice of tutor.

Nicola has been fantastic in working with Holly to develop her confidence and understanding ready for her GCSE English literature and Language exams. Nicola has been dedicated in researching the exam board, new syllabus and marking scheme. Nicky has been very professional, approachable and helpful from the start. She is always prepares her lessons well and gives good, quick and encouraging feedback from essays. She is currently teaching two of my children: one CIE A Level English Literature and the other Edexcel IGCSE English Literature. We enlisted Nicola's help to help our dyslexic son pass his teachers skills test after two failures. He has really engaged with her and says she really knows her stuff, making very good progress. Whatever happens with the next test Nicola has made a real difference to his skills and we highly recommend her.
