Nikhil

Hi! I’m Nikhil - a current MSc Quantitative Finance student at the University of Manchester, with a First-Class Honours degree in Aerospace Engineering. I tutor Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, and I’m passionate about helping students understand and enjoy the subjects that shaped my academic journey.

I’ve always loved solving problems and breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps. That curiosity is what led me into the engineering, maths, and finance space - and it’s the same mindset I bring to tutoring!

Outside of academics, I love watching and playing sports, travelling, the outdoors, and lots more! I look for opportunities to connect with students and seek to bring create a casual yet structured environment.

Tutoring Experience

During my time at university, I’ve taken on mentoring roles through peer-led study schemes, where I supported students in large and small groups. I hold an Associate Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA), reflecting my ability to communicate, lead, and foster understanding in academic settings.

I’ve also worked with GCSE students across different levels, helping them prepare for exams at the level that best suits their goals and confidence - whether that’s mastering the fundamentals, or tackling the trickiest higher paper questions.

Beyond tutoring, I’ve gained hands-on experience in engineering and finance, strengthening my ability to explain real-world applications of the subjects I teach.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring style is friendly, structured, and fully tailored to each student. I aim to build not just subject knowledge but confidence, turning confusion into clarity and stress into progress.

All my sessions are conducted online, making learning accessible and flexible for students wherever they are. I use a combination of tools to keep sessions engaging and effective, including:

I am more than willing to accommodate any requirements that students might have in regards to materials covered, session length, etc. I believe in fostering the most conducive environment to supplement each individual’s learning.
