Good working relationships are key to successful tuition. I have an excellent relationship with all of the children and young adults I teach. I believe in first ascertaining the knowledge gaps so that key concepts can be planned for based on a student's individual needs. No two students have the same areas of strength or areas to develop and so the curriculum they are taught should tailor to this. Each concept is broken down into smaller chunks to make learning manageable . Even the most reluctant mathematician can master complicated mathematical concepts when they are explained in a way that makes sense to them. All of the children and young adults I have tutored have shown a huge increase in confidence and their mathematical ability has soared. Contact me to find out how I can help your child.
I have led Mathematics, introduced Mathematics teaching systems and assessment procedures in three different primary schools. I have successfully tutored children from 6 years old to young adults working towards their GCSE in Mathematics both at Foundation and Higher levels.
I combine concept teaching with plenty of opportunity to apply those concepts to exam style questions so that students completely master the skill. I revisit previous concepts at the beginning of each lesson and focus on the main skills needed at each academic level.
