I am an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of English who really enjoys helping students of all abilities to learn. My other interests include yoga, swimming, walking, theatre and of course reading! I have three children of primary and secondary school age.

Tutoring Experience

I am a qualified English teacher with 10 years teaching experience and 5 years tutoring experience. I have taught students in Key stages 3, 4 (GCSE English and GCSE English Literature) and Key stage 5 (mostly A Level English Literature). I have taught a range of abilities, including those of high ability and those with special educational needs.

Tutoring Approach

I love tutoring as it allows me to get to know the individual and enable them to learn in a way that suits them. The interests, needs and requests of the learner are used to inform my planning. I am friendly, calm and patient. Tutorials will feel relaxed, but also purposeful.
