Hi I'm Noor and I recently graduated from the University of Plymouth with a degree in biomedical science.

Tutoring Experience

I have had experiences regularly volunteering in my school to tutor younger students for GCSE and A-Level science, but I am most comfortable teaching GCSE level biology. I have done a year of private tutoring for one student for maths and English at secondary level, age 11-14.

Tutoring Approach

I believe practice is the best way to tackle a subject and therefore I prefer to set tasks and questions for the student to attempt as a way to understand their current knowledge and where they require additional support. When stuck on a question, I will then go through the question in depth with the student and explain the topic which the question relates to, ensuring that they understand the overall concept and are then able to answer similar questions confidently in the future. It is also essential that the student communicates to me their requirements and how they would like me to approach subjects so that my teaching fits the learning method of the student and they can gain the maximum benefit from each session.
