I'm a Biology specialist working in a secondary school in Sheffield with a diverse intake and large sixth form.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught all secondary and post-16 Key Stages throughout training and in post - totalling almost 7 years of experience. I have been tutoring at A Level for nearly two years but I'm open to tutoring at any Key Stage.

Literacy and numeracy have been a big focus in my professional development so I'm strong on teaching both. It certainly helps that I love words and numbers as much as living things!

Tutoring Approach

Coming from a disadvantaged background, I know that a good education is key to getting on in life but I also know that exam strategy is huge part of cracking the system. This means I am keen to share all I know as a teacher about exam technique, what examiners like and how to break through pitfalls in exam questions like tricky language. I have my own bonkers sense of humour, which I hope endears me to my students to some extent!
