Hello, I’m Olga. I’m a native Russian speaker and have been living in the UK for 24 years.
I am a friendly, motivated person and enjoy learning and teaching languages. I’m also a mother of three children.
I am DBS checked and am happy to help anyone improve their level of Russian and Italian including beginners.
I have over 30 years’ experience of teaching in both England and Russia.
In addition to a University degree in Russian language and literature, I have a certificate of teaching Russian as a foreign language. I prepare students for GCSE Russian exam
Also I speak Italian and have taught Italian to many individuals and groups of people.
My lessons are well structured and planned according to the individual’s ability and goals. If your goal is to speak and understand the language, you are in good hands.
We will read and speak from your first lesson. The perfect balance of grammar, vocabulary and conversational skills of modern Russian/Italian languages is the key feature of my teaching.
The combination of traditional and modern teaching methods helps you to achieve your goals efficiently. For example to have a conversation on topics such as: Family and Home, Work and Free time, Food and Drinks, Plans and Travel, Holidays and Fashion, Daily routine and Biography, Education and Career, Town and village living, Time and The Internet and others. You will learn how to give reasons, share memories, discuss plans, express requests, suggest ideas, give advice, compare and analyse numbers and facts.
We will not read boring texts, instead we will wander along the streets of Moscow or Rome. We will have tongue twisters and crosswords. We will wish your friends a Merry Christmas and a New Year. We can work together towards to your goals, for example: planning your trip to Russia or to Italy.
My first lesson is HALF PRICE so you can be assured that my teaching approach is right for you.

Angie R - Olga is very patient and is consistently motivating and encouraging. She knows about teaching and different ways of learning, and she applies a variety of approaches which make classes interesting and enjoyable. Olga’s classes are very well tailored to individual needs and she pitches lessons at just the right level, stretching without overwhelming. After many attempts to learn Italian in classes over the years this is the first time I have sustained my learning and feel real progress is being made.
I highly recommend Olga’s classes. Grazie mille Olga!
