Oliver

Hi! My name is Ollie. I am third year undergraduate studying French and Spanish at Gonville and Caius college, Cambridge. I am currently on my year abroad where I have spent the first semester at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon studying philosophy and will be spending the second half of my year abroad at the University of Buenos Aires studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics. In my spare time, I am in the first team for tennis at the University of Cambridge and write a column for the student newspaper.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 50 hours of tutoring experience and have helped my students achieve above and beyond their learning goals. My first student who I tutored GCSE Spanish went from a 4 in their mocks to a 9 in the real thing and it is fantastic to be part of their learning journey. Since then, I have also tutored A level English, French, Philosophy and Spanish as well as GCSE languages, English, Religious Studies and history. My specific expertise is in the Oxbridge and UCAS admissions process, having been through it twice and have offered my personal statement and interview coaching to my students who have gone on to achieve spots at their dream universities. I have also tutored many foreign refugees English as a foreign language allowing them to feel better prepared for the schooling system in the UK.

I offer a highly personalised teaching approach. I care deeply about the individual needs of each student and cater accordingly to their personal goals. I am interactive and highly enthusiastic about teaching and offer a collaborative style to work through problems with you to ensure engagement with your learning. I am extremely dedicated and care deeply about my every one of my students.
