I recently graduated with a BA (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, where I developed both a deep appreciation for the subject and a strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. My academic journey has sharpened my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and I’m keen to share this passion with students in a way that builds both understanding and confidence. Whether helping someone break through a tricky concept or preparing for exams, I really enjoy making mathematics more accessible and rewarding.

Tutoring Experience

Over the past few years, I’ve tutored my younger brother in both GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, helping him achieve significant improvement and a stronger grasp of foundational principles. I’ve also supported several GCSE students in my local community, tailoring my explanations to suit different learning styles. While my experience has been informal so far, I’ve seen how the right encouragement and a fresh perspective can make a real difference to student outcomes. I’m now looking to expand my tutoring professionally through First Tutors.

Tutoring Approach

I focus on building a solid conceptual understanding, guiding students through problems step by step and encouraging them to ask questions. I believe confidence comes from mastering the ‘why’, not just the ‘how’, so I aim to go beyond rote memorisation by connecting topics and highlighting key patterns. My sessions are structured yet flexible—responsive to the student’s pace and preferences—and I always adapt my style to ensure each learner feels supported, challenged, and inspired.
