Tutoring Experience

I taught maths in an FE colleges from 1998 to 2008. I taught 16 - 18 year olds as well as older students returning to education.
I then took some time away from education.
In 2015 I began teaching maths as a private tutor. I have worked with learners of all ages and have developed a wide range of strategies and approaches.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that each learner is an individual and will need a tailored and personalised approach. Therefore my sessions are pupil/student centred and I believe that the focus of a session should be on learning rather than teaching. I will develop resources for individual learners if this is required and will adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of a learner.
