My son has really gelled with Stephen who certainly knows his stuff. Very pleased with the tutoring my son is receiving.
From Jonathan
Very reliable. Very helpful for my daughter's A level chemistry
From Andrew
Stephen tutored me in the last stage of my study for the GAMSAT exam, and was enormously helpful. We covered a variety of maths and science topics in a short space of time.
To be honest I wish I had contacted him earlier on in my studies as he is very good at clarifying complex ideas.
He also provided a thorough academic UCAS reference at a reasonable price.
I tutored Andrew for a few weeks prior to his GAMSAT Examination. He was very personable and had to amass a lot of knowledge in a short time.
I wish him every success.
From Phil
My son has recently had a trial session with Stephen and was more than happy to have him as his ongoing Maths tutor. He looks forward to increasing his confidence and knowledge with him going forwards. Stephen shares a similar outlook to us on the importance of stability in a long term tutor. He seemed very personable and knowledgeable. We are looking forward to him working with our son.
The family were very welcoming and I enjoyed the first lesson.
I am looking forward to starting the lessons in August.
From Hyun
I am disappointed with this tutor. After reading the many positive reviews I was hopeful for a great tutor, however, I never got the chance to experience that as the communication was so poor. I would often have to wait several days for a reply. Most frustratingly he suggested a date for a session, then went on to cancel a few hours before the lesson. I understand that he may be busy, however, receiving no form of contact after leaving a voice mail is very unprofessional. I cannot have a tutor like Paul when my exams are so close, I hope others may find more luck than I did.
I gave Hyun every opportunity to book a lesson.
He also didn't reply for several days.
I made it very clear from the start I had few spaces left for lessons and bearing in mind I travel to students, this also involves travel time as well.
He said he was available on Wednesday afternoons.
I then offered him a 2 hour slot this coming Wednesday.
He declined that after saying he had other commitments.
I cannot make spaces for lessons where none exist.
Nor can I give priority to students who have not had any lessons , when several whom I am tutoring have been with me for several years.
It is a shame this happens, but I give as much leeway as possible with Hyun over this very busy period for exam preparation.

Dear Paul. Just a quick note to see if we can fit in a lesson at some stage this week rather than Saturday as it is the Easter Weekend?
From Maxwell
Paul is very good. He is engaging. Importantly 'you can ask him questions' he knows his stuff!
I really appreciate the comments made on my behalf.
Maxwell is a hard working and enthusiastic student, who has engaged my services to better his knowledge of Chemistry and heighten his examination grades.

Mr Paul accepted my request to teach my son 3 days before the cut off date. Two days later when I saw the email I paid £14.99 to get his contact details. My son phoned him but because he was unavalable he also emailed him. Four days later he rang him again but no reply. After about a week he rang again but again no reply. After a few more days I tried to ring him myself but no reply. So I emailed him saying that he had accepted my request to tutor my son and that he has been trying to contact him. My son also rang again. After a full 2 weeks Mr Paul tried to ring my son whilst he was at school. The school policy is that children do not use mobile phones at school and so he missed the call. When he arrived home he saw the missed call and tried to contact him again and for several days after but to no avail. He has two telephone numbers and two emails he can reach us on. How much effort would it have taken to just pick up a phone and and explain the situation. I find his attitude disgusting.
I have a record of the number of times I have called this family with no response, so far nine times over two weeks. On none of those times was my phone call picked up. I have a very busy timetable due to exams at this time.
I stand by my record as a tutor, with many satisfied clients.

Paul has given me the confidence I need to face my chemistry and biology A2 exams. He is completely different from other tutors I have had previously. Rather than repetitively going over simple material, he has stretched my knowledge by going above and beyond, something which is essential at this level in order to gain the top grades. with vast knowledge and experience with my syllabus' he was able to direct me quickly and waste little time. Always prompt and good at communicating. highly recommended.
From Mateen
v good tutor, my son has been happy with his approach

I would like to thank Mr Paul for all his support and tuition for my daughter Alicya in preparation for her final A level exams . Paul has been very efficient and has given Alicya the much needed confidence boost she needed at this vital time . Paul has always been prompt on arrival for commencement of lessons and has always informed us of any delay or change of plan , he has also been very happy to adjust arrangements to suit our availability. I have no hesitation what so ever in recommending Mr Paul as a tutor to other prospective students.
From Mike

From Rosalyn
I have triplet girls age 13y all at slightly different levels, and Paul is able to tutor all 3 very well. They are really enjoying the hour long session, he is explaining the methods to them so that they fully understand, and they are really starting to see a difference in their school work. They look forward to him coming and the hour flies by. Thank you
A very friendly family and three girls who want to learn , and are a pleasure to teach.
What else can you say.
From Mohammad
Paul is a very good Tutor, who teaches well. he has great knowledge and the necessary skills and experience to bring the best out his students.
From Holly
Took a long time to answer my e-mails had to leave messages on his answer phone. Cancelled on me twice via e-mail on the day of my lesson. Unreliable don't go there **Telephone Number Removed**
Holly
Unfortunately and for factors beyond my control I was unable to tutor this student, due to work load, because of the forthcoming examinations. It was not intentional and I should add she only wanted 1 lesson every 2 weeks for a short duration, so other tutors beware.
She had only limited availability for lessons , not including weekends, which made arrangements very difficult and going over 10 miles to a destination is very time consuming in a rush hour period, where I am tutoring approx 8 hours a day.
