He has really built a good rapport with our daughter getting the best out of her.

Paul is working really well with our son. We wanted to boost his confidence after his recent disappointment in his Maths exams and Paul has been fantastic. Paul is enthusiastic and patient, he knows how to build on existing maths knowledge and instils confidence in his pupil who is now keen and willing to keep working on his maths over the holidays. Our daughter has recently started with Paul for Maths and he is brilliant with her.

You instantly struck up a good rapport with George and have tailored your lessons to meet his needs. You work him hard but it always sounds as though you are both having a good time as well. Paul has been tutoring our son for 5 weeks now ahead of his maths GCSE next year. Paul has a great manner and professionalism and our son already feels more confident in the subject. We feel strengthening a core subject such as Maths will help our son feel less daunted when it comes to revising the other subjects he is taking. They are topics up until Christmas that my son feels are his weak areas and then they will focus on past paper in the new year up until the exams. I have no hesitation in recommending Paul to others.

Paul was passionate about his subject and helped Nathan to catch up with work missed. He was able to get the point across brilliantly. Nathan thought he was fun to work with and kept his brain busy, making him stay on track. Would happily use him again.

Paul has visited our house on three occasions so far. His approach is very kind and understated, which suits my children well. I contacted First Tutors and spent a long time looking at the profiles of the maths tutors to help our granddaughter in her GCSE year. Chose Paul & he was in contact very quickly. What an excellent choice! Paul is a lovely person. Our granddaughter finds Paul very easy to communicate with & is thoroughly ENJOYING her maths sessions. Importantly, she said that she is learning much more about maths from him and now understanding a lot more than she has ever done before. He is a terrific tutor.

2 lessons into our journey with Paul. My children are very pleased to have Paul as their Maths tutor. He is filling the role of somewhere between teacher and friend nicely, they seem very relaxed and happy to learn in his company, looking forward to a long and happy relationship, culminating in improved grades in their Maths exam next year.

Paul replied straight away to my request for tuition, My daughter enjoys having tuition with Paul, he explains Maths in a clear calm manner, he has shown her new quicker ways of carrying out certain maths tasks.
Communication with Paul is easy, everthing was explained to me i.e availability, costs, etc.

Paul provided excellent support and encouragement to me to help me through my QTS Numeracy Skills Test. With his calm and patient way, I felt a lot more confident and had a better understanding after just 2 sessions. Paul has been tutoring my granddaughter for a few weeks now and we are very happy with her progress, he is an excellent tutor. She finds that he is really helping her both with her understanding of the subject and with her confidence. He is very patient with her and is quick to praise her when she does well. Firstly, as I wasn't sitting maths exams but a set of psychometric tests, Paul assisted with making a plan for forthcoming maths tuition sessions. Ensuring that sessions were tailored to what I needed to cover so that I would receive maximum benefit. Paul is very calm and clear with his teaching technique. Following each session I have had a clear plan in my own mind for aspects of maths to practice before the next session.
Without a doubt my maths has improved greatly just over a few sessions.

I contacted Paul to get some help with the maths required for Army Officer selection. He has helped me improve my mental arithmetic dramatically in the month or so I have been having sessions with him. His teaching style is exactly what I was after - approachable, supportive and above all engaging. I look forward to seeing more positive results. 10/10 I would recommend.

I highly recommend Paul for maths tuition. His approach is sympathetic to learning challenges and difficulties and he has the insight to identify effective methods of teaching for the student. My daughter's confidence in her abilities and knowledge has increased dramatically over the few weeks of tuition. Most importantly perhaps, for a 12 year old, she really enjoys the sessions and comes out smiling and very enthusiastic for what she has learned.

Paul has been an excellent and professional tutor for my son for Maths GCSE. Ryan found the tuition extremely useful and feels that it will have helped him immensely come exam time.
