An experienced physics teacher of nearly 20 years with a track record of students achieving highly in GCSE and A level.
I have taught in a range of successful state schools from Surrey, Bath, Gloucester and Wiltshire in roles from Head of Physics, Head of Science and various senior leadership roles - but teaching is my passion.
I am a big rugby fan and enjoy the odd hike with the family - my kids get bored of me explaining the physics of the things we see.
I have been a physics teacher for 19 years working across various secondary schools in the west and south east. In this time I have led physics departments and been head of science where I have led curriculum development. Most recently I have been a schools Assistant headteacher in charge of T&L and a Trust's lead for school improvement.
I have a long track record of helping students get high grades in GCSE science and A level physics.
It is fairly simple. I aim to provide very clear explanations with examples of how concepts can be applied. I will give plenty of problems to practice and I will use this to check understanding and reteach where necessary.
