Phoeb Vimbai

I completed a MSc in Operational Research at Middlesex University London. I hold a BSc honours degree in Mathematics and a Certificate in Education (UK-QTS). I teach all year groups and all abilities levels. I have for many years been responsible for the GCSE/IGCSE/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS Maths teaching. I also tutor adults who need to brush up on their numerical skills. I love teaching mathematics and see the students develop their confidence and knowledge and I work with parents to achieve the best outcome for their children. I have a passion for teaching ever since my entrance into the teaching profession over 33 years ago.

Tutoring Experience

I have vast experience of teaching Mathematics spanning over 33 years. I also tutored all levels of secondary school pupils on 1:1 basis. In my last school I ran weekly Mathematics 'masterclasses' for more able students and I was a highly-rated teacher. I am very familiar with the mathematics KS3/4 and GCSE/IGCSE/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS Maths. I am a highly motivated, creative and intuitive teacher who puts enjoyment at the heart of every lesson and believe that everybody has the potential to improve and excel.

Tutoring Approach

I endeavor to deliver lessons that through creative pedagogical approaches, engage and excite pupils and make them want to learn more about the subject. I am Imaginative; innovative and offer inspiration – tuition tailored to the individual and designed not just to educate, but to inspire! I am a highly-rated teacher due to my professional manner, maturity and capability, coupled with the many years’ experience working with children, teenagers and adults.
