I am a teacher and SEN specialist with seventeen years' experience working in London and Maidenhead schools. I have a track record of successfully coaching students of all abilities for GCSE and A level exams. I am familiar with the curricula for all the major examination bodies. I am calm and patient. I am science lead in my current setting.
I am a qualified teacher with seventeen years' experience teaching in London and Maidenhead schools. I have have received and delivered plenty of CPD and training which I can bring to my lessons. I have experience with all forms of SEN e.g. dyslexia, dyscalculia, ASD, ADHD. I have tutored secondary and primary aged students.
Although I can tutor students of all abilities I specialise in students making weak progress, at risk of failing GCSEs, or with SEN e.g. dyscalculia or dyslexia.
I use modern methods informed by research in pedagogy (for example CPA approach). Combined with a patient and calm approach, students can explore and learn, and expect to make accelerated progress.
I can identify gaps in knowledge, skills and concepts and I then work towards closing those gaps. I match teaching to learning style by using practical activities and visual aids, setting tasks which cement learning, and ongoing assessment of learning.
