Tutoring Approach

In my first year of A-levels, I was predicted BBC, which, to be completely honest, was generous from my teachers. In the summer if that year, after visiting Edinburgh University, I decided I had to turn things around.

I dedicated many weeks towards perfecting my revision notes, and understanding revision technique, stumbling across an excellent book: 'Make it Stick'. This approach allowed me to exceed my target grades (getting A*A*A) despite time constraints, and lack of work in the previous year.

Towards the end of my final year, I often found myself teaching classmates, and helping them understand what can be daunting economic concepts, and through this I discovered I felt real enjoyment in tutoring others.
