Firstly, let me tell you about me. I hail from Spain, a country rich in history, culture, and vibrant traditions. As a native of Spain, I carry the essence of sardanas, flamenco, paella, pa amb tomaquet, and, of course, the mesmerizing architecture of Gaudí.
My roots intertwine with the sun-kissed landscapes of Andalusia, the bustling streets of Madrid, and the Eixample suburb of Barcelona. From the Pyrenees to Marbella, the rhythm of Spanish life flows through my veins.
I offer tuition because I have a desire to share the beauty of my language and culture. All of this fuels my passion for teaching. Spanish isn’t just a set of words; it’s a gateway to a world of expression, connection, and understanding. It is the second spoken language of the world after Chinese.
As I guide you, students, through conjugations, idioms, and rolling Rs, I want to ignite your curiosity. Other learners comment that my enthusiasm is contagious. Students sense it—the way I light up when discussing García Lorca’s poetry or unraveling the mysteries of subjunctive verbs. You will enjoy a cultural immersion: I don’t merely teach vocabulary; I immerse students in the soul of Spain. You will taste tapas, hear the strains of flamenco guitar or the poetry of sevillanas and you will explore the Alhambra through my stories. My first degree was in Tourism management. You will find that I am not just a teacher, I am a cultural ambassador for Spain. . You will feel connected to Spain through my anecdotes, photos, and heartfelt explanations. My eyes sparkle when I discuss Don Quixote or Picasso. You will be able to see first-hand my love for Spanish, and it ignites your own curiosity. I am convinced that you will want to unravel the layers of this beautiful language alongside me.

I have been teaching since 1998. I started teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language to children and adults, private tuition, as well as teaching in a college (to pupils older than 16 and to adult people who wanted to learn the language). I also taught in a Public School in the South West of England. I taught English to Spanish pupils and Spanish to English learners.
I later started teaching in a Scottish Primary school. I teach all primary education subjects. I have also run a Spanish club.
I love seeing people learning and when I can help in the process, it makes me very proud.
My teaching is effective and I adapt to the learner's needs. I use a variety of teaching methods, depending on the context and the content to be delivered. I think that modelling what has to be learnt s very important for the learner to see how things can be done. I also create quizzes, games, role plays, as well as a cultural approach (with modern languages).
