I’m a qualified primary school teacher with 9 years of experience in the education system. As a parent to two teenagers, I understand the challenges that can come with supporting your own child’s learning at home—and the barriers that can sometimes get in the way. I’m passionate about making learning engaging and accessible, and I love bringing it to life through real-world experiences. Whether it’s through my time as a Scout leader or by taking learning outdoors, I believe children thrive when they’re encouraged to be curious, active, and involved.
I qualified as a teacher in 2019 and have taught in both state and private schools, working across a range of ages and needs. I have experience working in both KS1 and KS2 classrooms and have specialised training to support children with maths learning difficulties.
I believe children learn best when they can explore ideas for themselves and really understand how things work—whether it’s numbers, reading or spelling. My lessons focus on building strong core skills that children can use in lots of different situations. The sessions that have the biggest impact are fun, hands-on and memorable—and they usually don’t involve a textbook! I use a wide range of practical activities and resources to help children see how things fit together, so they grow in confidence and become more independent learners.
