I'm a currently practising medical Doctor, having graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2020 with Honours. I love travelling and finding new things to do and learn. I am passionate about teaching and education as I feel it has personally helped me greatly in achieving my life goals. From a variety of experiences I have picked up many tips and tricks into learning effectively and enjoyably! This has allowed me to achieve excellent grades throughout my education, including full marks in both A level Biology and Physics, whilst also managing other commitments and hobbies.
Having personally been through the system myself, and having a younger sister, means that I have plenty of experience in communicating difficult concepts into more manageable and friendlier problems. Additionally my experience with university and medical admission processes means that I am more than willing to offer advice and help on these fronts, including admission tests (UKCAT, BMAT), personal statements, and interviews.
I have direct experience of tutoring a wide variety of students with varying needs, be it A-levels, admission tests, or other specialised topics. This is reflected in my current portfolio of enthusiastic tutees, who I thoroughly enjoy teaching!
I have supervised (small-group teaching) and lectured to Sixth form students as part of Trinity College's outreach programmes, making me comfortable with a diverse range of students and abilities.
Having directed and taught at English language summer camps in Beijing and Hong Kong, I have learnt how to make learning fun and enjoyable for a wide range of ages.
I also have experience designing and teaching novel primary school RE curriculum in my local area, so I am confident I can tailor my services to the needs of each individual tutee.
Going through the system myself, and helping several people through it, has given me a solid base of understanding and perspective when it comes to getting the most out of each individual. I will be able to provide a professional and focused tutoring service based on each individual's needs. I know how to make learning enjoyable and effective, by incorporating understanding with solid exam technique.
Incorporating scientifically backed learning techniques in my own study has allowed me to achieve my academic goals, and is an intrinsic part of my tutoring process. Combining this with insights into what the examiners and tests look for makes me confident that I will be able to help each tutee reach their full potential.
