Hi! I’m Pranav, a medical student at the University of Bristol with a strong academic background and a passion for helping others reach their full potential. I offer tutoring in science and maths subjects, with a focus on building confidence, understanding core concepts, and tailoring sessions to each student’s learning style.
Outside of studying, I’m a big believer in balance — I love playing sport, staying active, and spending time outdoors. Whether it’s football, running, or hiking, I find that being active helps keep my mind sharp and energised, which is something I bring into my teaching as well.
I aim to create a supportive, engaging environment that makes learning not just effective, but enjoyable too. Whether you're aiming for top grades or just want to build a solid foundation, I’m here to help.
Throughout secondary school and sixth form, I regularly took on tutoring roles, supporting both my classmates and younger students within the school. This involved helping peers understand challenging topics, preparing for exams, and developing effective study strategies. In addition to school-based tutoring, I also gained experience working with family friends, offering one-to-one support for both 11+ entrance exams and GCSE preparation while I was studying for my A-levels. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt my teaching style to suit different age groups and abilities.
My tutoring approach is centred around building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps. I tailor each session to the student’s individual needs, learning style, and goals — whether that’s reinforcing classroom learning, filling in gaps in understanding, or pushing towards top grades. I believe in active learning, so I incorporate practice questions, discussion-based explanations, and real-world examples to help students engage with the material and retain it more effectively. I also emphasise exam technique and time management, particularly for students preparing for GCSEs or entrance exams, ensuring they not only know the content but also how to apply it under pressure. Above all, I aim to create a supportive, relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and aren’t afraid to make mistakes — because that’s how real progress happens.
