Preeyenha

My name is Preeyenha and I am a Mathematics graduate from King's College London (2020), having previously worked in Technology Consulting at EY and now work in Luxury Fashion Marketing. Born and raised in London, I attended a grammar school, completing 12 GCSEs (8A*s and 4As) and A Levels in Mathematics (A*), Further Mathematics (A) and English Literature (A) with an AS Level in French.

I am an avid reader, and create beauty content on social media. I have always had a passion for tutoring as I really enjoy helping students in their journey to obtaining knowledge, understanding content and preparing for exams. I often care a lot about my students and go above and beyond to ensure that they are gaining all they want and need from our lessons together - whether it is understanding the content itself or learning new study skills.

Tutoring Experience

I have over a decade of experience tutoring 1-2-1 from 11+ entrance exams to English and Maths up to A Level.

Almost all my 11+ students have successfully been accepted into their target secondary schools, such as Chelmsford County High School for Girls, Colchester Royal Grammar School, Ilford County High School, Woodford County High School and more. I have taught techniques to help students understand what the exam is testing, have helped improve writing and reading skills and more.

With English and Maths, I have taught over 10 students who have come to classes with specific struggles. I have taken the time to cater to each students' difficulties, and go through questions until they understand and area able to complete questions alone.

Tutoring Approach

I take an open approach where I listen to the student's needs and preferences with teaching styles. I always maintain an open line of communication to ensure that my students are happy with the way things are going. I take a friendly but focused approach to my classes, ensuring through constant questions that the student is understanding everything as we go.

I have a content and technique first approach, where I go through examples alongside explanations in order to highlight how to put the information to practice.

I also ensure that there is regular tests to ensure that pain points are highlighted and any questions/queries are addressed. I am always happy to go over topics as many times as needed. I assign homework based on the topic learned that day, and take the beginning of each lesson to go over mistakes and answer any questions before moving to the next topic.
