Purdon

I love teaching and feel honoured to have been a primary school teacher for twenty six years. I specialised in teaching and leading mathematics. I have also taught for several years in Year Six. I enjoy astronomy, golf and gardening.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught for twenty six years, in five junior schools. I then worked in the transport industry for seven years. Whilst working in education, I have participated in ten OFSTEDs all graded ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.

Tutoring Approach

Learning is a wonderful experience. It should be fun, challenging and rewarding. Identifying what can be achieved through assessment and setting realistic goals is fundamental, as well as identifying the different learning strategies that we can all use. Being positive is the key.
